Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-16
Welcome to IRL Arena. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Jamnaytac LLC, a Delaware limited liability company operating IRL Arena and PIRL Co (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using IRL Arena — the app at app.irlarena.com, our mobile apps, and this site — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
What IRL Arena is (and isn’t)
IRL Arena is a scoreboard: it lets groups of friends and family (“arenas”) pick which real-life activities score points, log what they do, and compete on leaderboards and race charts.
It is not a medical, health, or fitness-advice service. Nothing in the app is a training plan, a health recommendation, or a substitute for professional medical advice. Activity logging is on the honor system — we don’t verify anyone’s miles, and the stakes are bragging rights.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you’re under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
- Managed members (profiles without logins, typically kids) may be added only by an adult guardian, who is responsible for that profile and everything logged on it.
- You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. One account per person; don’t impersonate anyone.
Health & safety
Physical activity carries inherent risk. You (and, for managed members, their guardian) are responsible for deciding what activity is appropriate, for doing it safely, and for consulting a physician where that’s warranted. Competition is meant to motivate, not to push anyone past what’s safe — ride, run, and swim within your limits, and supervise your kids’ activities. To the extent permitted by law, you assume the risks of the real-life activities you choose to do; IRL Arena only keeps score.
Fair play & community rules
Don’t misuse the platform. That includes: harassing other members; creating fake accounts or impersonating anyone; scraping the service or others’ data; probing or disrupting the service; or using IRL Arena for anything illegal. Whether someone’s logged miles are honest is for your arena to police — that’s what the group chat is for — but we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You own what you post — activity logs, notes, display names, and arena names. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host and display it as part of operating the service (that’s how your points show up on your arena’s leaderboard). Arena admins control their arena’s name, points rules, and membership.
The service is provided “as is”
We work hard to keep IRL Arena accurate and available, but scores, charts, and standings can contain errors and the service may be interrupted. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IRL ARENA IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JAMNAYTAC LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, OR DISPUTE ARISING FROM THE REAL-LIFE ACTIVITIES YOU OR YOUR ARENA MEMBERS CHOOSE TO DO. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (WHICH, TODAY, IS $0). Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Ending things
You can stop using IRL Arena and request account deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the community at risk; where practical, we’ll tell you why.
Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date, and for significant changes we’ll notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use IRL Arena after changes take effect means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
